Equities finished lower yesterday, but opened higher today. That said, so far, it’s still showing weakness. Could potentially be a risk-off day, so I’ll try to keep that in mind as I’m doing my analysis.
USD – L/N – Equities were down yesterday, and this spiked a bit and pushed to new highs. While this is down fairly significantly right now, equities look like they may be dropping again, so this might reverse. I’ll glance at a couple USD charts and see if there is any opportunity, but I won’t chase — and I’ll (do my best to) only play a breakout of a previous swing high
CAD – N – This pushed through that support level it was sitting on, but since has rallied and is up. I still don’t love this pattern, so I’m going to leave this alone for now
EUR – N – This pushed significantly higher yesterday, and made a new swing high, but it didn’t push above the base it’s been for about a week. Today, price is down, but it go nowhere near the low of the base and has pulled back a decent amount on the day. I’ll hold off on this for now
GBP – N – This is still in a range, too. It pushed lower, somewhat breaking out of the “main” range, but couldn’t push through the next level of support. It’s up a bit today, but doesn’t appear to have a ton of strength behind it. I’ll hold off on this for now
JPY – N – I could almost say the same thing about this as I did USD, the only difference being that this doesn’t look like it’ll push higher today (now that I mention it, USD no longer does, either). I’ll hold off on this for now
AUD – N – This is for sure basing now, and while it’s up on the day, it’s already pulled back a lot from the day’s highs, and those highs were nowhere near the top of the range. I’ll hold off on this
NZD – S/N – I don’t love this as a short, but I wanted to look at something to pair against USD. This is down, and it was yesterday, but it is sitting at a level of support. I’ll see if there’s any opportunity to play a breakout here
CHF – N – This is technically making higher highs and higher lows, but only barely — it looks more like it’s in a base. I’ll hold off on this as well
