I’m a little later than the ideal time, but this isn’t bad. I could’ve gotten out of bed a little quicker, but that’s alright. The internet was acting up this morning, too, so there was that. Regardless, I’m happy with my start to this Monday.
I think I’m going to take the currency baskets at face value — I looked at futures and they’re down, but only a little at this point. Not sure how that’s going to translate.
USD – S – This stalled out at some support on Thursday and Friday, and that level seems to be holding as of right now. If it can push through that level, though, this could move quite a bit, so I’m comfortable shorting this
CAD – N – I still don’t really love the way CAD’s been behaving, so I’ll continue to hold off on trading it
Today’s Pairs
AUD/USD – Long
EUR/AUD – Short
AUD/CHF – Long
EUR – S – This looks to have stalled out at some support, too, but, again, if it can break that level, I like this to the downside
GBP – N – This is up a bit right now, but it’s basing again. I’ll wait until this breaks it’s base in one direction or the other before I pull the trigger here
JPY – N – This is on a bit of a rally today, but it’s highs are at a resistance level (and for that matter, it’s lows are at a support level). I’m more bearish here than bullish so I’ll hold off until this heads back down (or makes a move that confirms a swing to the upside)
AUD – L – This broke out of some resistance, and is somewhat stalled out, but it looks like it has strength behind it, so I’ll take this long
NZD – N – This is down a bit right now, and is in a bit of a basing pattern. It’s highs are at some resistance, so if it reverses and breaks that level, I might like this, but that doesn’t seem to be happening right now. I’ll revisit this later today
CHF – S – Similar to EUR
