I’ve got to just get started. That’s step one. So that’s what I’m trying to do here. My goal is to find what I think is going to make a move today, and to make the best decision I can make. If that means not trading at all, then so be it, but make the best decision
Equities gapped down pretty strong this morning, but price are sitting near the open. There’s been weakness overall here, with some bits of strength within, but we’re pretty far off of all-time highs. I think this gap down is actually a bullish move, but the market’s overall bearish right now from what I can tell
USD – L – This has made a nice push up this morning, after a couple-day correction, but it looks extended here and it’s still not quite to the highs. I’ll take a look at this long on individual charts, but again, I think it’s extended
CAD – N – CAD made a nice push up earlier today (probably overnight) but it’s sitting pretty far off of the highs right now. I think I’ll leave this alone for today and revisit on Thursday
Today’s Pairs
USD/JPY – Long
NZD/USD – Short
CHF/JPY – Long
NZD/CHF – Short
EUR – N – This also made a nice push up today (and down at some point) but is sitting at it’s open. There’s clearly a lot of indecision here, so I’ll hold off
GBP – N – This has made a push in both directions as well, and is sitting at it’s open. There’s a small push down happening right now, but overall I mostly see indecision today. I think I’ll hold off here
JPY – S – This made a new low today but is sitting at it’s open. There haven’t been a ton of movement yet and it did make a new low, so I’ll look at this short
AUD – N – I drew an upward trendline here last week, and using that, I could almost consider this a long right here. Price has pushed through that line, but has rallied up to it and is sitting right around the trendline. That said, price has pushed completely through this line in the past, and today’s a pretty strong down-day in AUD, so I’ll hold off for today, but maybe look at this long at the end of the day today (if I’m messing around on my phone or something) or maybe tomorrow if I trade
NZD – S – This is pushing down strong today and has taken out a fairly strong support area. I can see another one fairly close, but I’d like to see what it looks like on individual charts
CHF – L – This is pushing up pretty strongly — has been for the last 4 or 5 days. I’ll look at this long as long as whatever trade I want to take doesn’t look too extended
