Win | Forex | NZD/JPY | Short

Disclaimer: Updating this 1/20

With USD looking relatively strong, JPY was as well; and NZD still looked quite weak. When I got to this chart, it was pushing down, and almost looked like I missed the move. I checked the 15 min. chart, though, and there was a small 4 candle base that was broken and it appeared it was about to be re-tested. It being a Friday, and the setup happening on the 15 min. chart, I was tentative, so I set my limit order, but with a 1% risk instead of 2% — but my trade triggered.

Entry – 74.24

Exit – 74.09

After triggering my entry, price pretty quickly moved to 1R, so I was able to move my stop to break even. Since it was Friday, and I didn’t want to hold over the weekend, instead of following the SAR, I just waited until the end of the day. Around 5 min. before the market closed I closed this position for a decent profit!
