Equities gapped up yesterday, but closed down. Futures are up a bit today, so we’ll see what happens there. I’m, again, going to mostly take the baskets at face value today.
USD – S – With yesterday’s rally after breaking support, it never pushed back down and closed near it’s open. Today, though, it’s down again, it’s pushed through that support level and is sitting off of the lows again. I’ll take a look at individual charts to see if the opportunity is there yet, though at a glance of NZD/USD, it won’t be.
CAD – N – This pushed down strong this morning, breaking that range/support level. It’s currently sitting on another support level from back in May, but that one looks a little weaker. I’m nervous about CAD, so I think I’m going to leave it alone here……
EUR – N – This is down a good amount on the day, but price is right near the same support area as yesterday. Even if it were to push through that level, there doesn’t appear to be that much room to the next level, so I’ll hold off
GBP – N – This is up a good amount today, but doesn’t look like a trend-reversing move quite yet. It’s probably just bear-rallying, so I’ll look into shorting this tomorrow or later today
JPY – N – I’m overall bearish JPY and it’s up a good amount today, so I’m already out. That coupled with the fact that it’s right near some resistance and I’m going to sit out of this one
AUD – N – This, of course, failed to break out yesterday and now looks to be officially in a mini base since last Thursday. I’ll hold off here
NZD – N – I looked at taking this long yesterday, but throughout the USD trading hours, it failed to push up. It’s pushed up some this morning already today, but is sitting pretty far off of the highs and looks like a repeat of yesterday is happening. Also, now, since this did make a new high this morning, the next level of resistance is even closer, so that lowers my R:R. I think I’m going to leave this alone (though NZD/USD is in a nice bull pullback right now. Maybe I’ll revisit it)
CHF – N – Similar to yesterday, sitting right on top of that support level, and has already rallied off of the lows. I’ll hold off here for today
