Stock, Options, and Forex Analysis and Journal

Forex Analysis | April 20, 2020

USD – N – This was pushing down, it rallied a bit at the end of last week, but since has been down again. That said, it’s not quite reaching the lows from the middle of last week. I’ll hold off on this for now

CAD – N – This still isn’t moving in a way that I’d like to see in order to trade it, and it’s still stalling out at that level of support. I’ll hold off for now

EUR – S – This is in a bit of a low-base after coming off of almost a month of downward movement. It’s sitting on some support right now, but if it can break today’s lows, it might drop pretty far

Today’s Pair

EUR/AUD – Short

GBP – N – Even though this rallied last week, looking as though it would break out, it didn’t, stalled out at some resistance, and is now in a bit of a base. I’ll hold off on trading this for now

JPY – N – There appears to be a lot of indecision here, and I don’t like what I’m seeing in it’s basket. I’ll hold off on this for now

AUD – L/N – I’m always nervous when it comes to AUD — I’ve played this, thinking it’s a good trade on multiple occasions only to make .5R, and it reverses and stops me out.. That said, this was strong starting the middle of march, had a pullback early April for about 4 days, but was strong since then. Last Wednesday, this dropped, but has pushed up a bit since then and is sitting at some resistance after a pullback. I like this to the upside, but again, I’m a bit apprehensive because it’s AUD. We’ll see what individual charts look like

NZD – N – This has been ranging since late march, and is currently near the top of that range. If it could break out, it might be a good long, but as of right now, I don’t love it. I’ll check on it again this afternoon, though

CHF – N – Looks like EUR still, but appears to have a little more strength behind it than EUR did. I’ll revisit this this afternoon and see if it reversed and tried to head back down
