Equities are hitting all-time highs again, but USD is up a little bit on the day. I would have expected it to go down. I’ll just take the charts at face value today, and see what looks good
USD [N] – This has looked bullish for a while now, but since equities have been heading upward, I’ve been hesitant to go long here. I’m getting closer to liking this to the upside, but not quite yet. I’ll wait another day or so to see what this does before I go long here
CAD [N] – This is in a bit of a base pattern, has moved down .35% already, and is sitting at the low of the base. I don’t think it’ll push through that level of support today, so I’m gong to leave this alone too
EUR [S] – This isn’t my favorite, but it’s been heading down for a couple of days and it’s still a bit above it’s lower trend-line. We’ll see if there’s anything available to pair this against
GBP [L] – This broke out above the range it was in for the last month and looks strong. It may pull back, but I’m still comfortable taking this long, I’ll just have to set a wider stop level
JPY [N] – With equities hitting new highs, I’d have expected this to go down, but it really hasn’t moved much at all today. I’m still overall bearish here, but it’s on a bit of a rally, so I’m going to leave this alone and wait for it to head back to the downside
AUD [N] – I like this to the downside, and it’s down again today, but it’s up against a pretty strong level of support, so I don’t want to do anything with it today. Actually, because of the range it’s been in since mid – late August, I might look for an opportunity to take this long later today or tomorrow. Regardless, I’m not touching it today
NZD [N] – This is still in that basing pattern, and it’s not showing signs of going in either direction. It’s up a little bit today, but it isn’t moving much. I’m going to leave this alone
CHF [N] – This is down a bit today, again, and I’m starting to feel a little less bullish. This could simply be a pullback (which, I hope it is), but I need it to move convincingly back to the upside before I’m convinced. In the meantime, I’m going to leave this alone
