There was a small announcement in NZD coming up, and since it had made a large move up on the back of the previous announcement, I thought it might do the same. USD was looking like a good short to me and while the daily chart didn’t look the best, the hourly chart was showing a nice high-base. I was trying to go for a small gain on a high R:R

Shortly after entering my entry order and stop-loss, price moved up and triggered my entry

Price moved in my favor for a short while, but overnight it dropped back to the bottom of that range and eventually hit my stop/loss. In hindsight, I think I saw that the hourly chart looked really good, and price was already close to where I wanted to enter, so I pulled the trigger without fully fleshing out the idea. The pattern was there, RSW was mostly there, but it wasn’t the prettiest picture, I just got impatient/anxious.
